New Capital of AP to be Amaravathi

After the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, the newly formed Andhra Pradesh has been busy in acquiring the land to build a new capital. AP Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu has been successful in selecting the area of capital to be constructed and the government officials have been working day and night to get a better clarity on it. There were strong rumors that TDP and the AP government has planned to name the capital as Legendary NT Rama Rao’s name. However Chandra Babu has decided to opt out for a common name which will satisfy everyone. He has even visited various countries and many of them stepped forward to construct a new capital in Andhra Pradesh.

As per the news, the new capital will be constructed in around 35,000 acres with all the needed facilities and he has discussed with his cabinet several times about the name of the capital which could not get a common approval. However the latest news is that Amaravathi has been confirmed as the name of the capital and even the Singapore officials have suggested the name of Amaravathi which has now been approved. The official announcement will be made soon  said the sources from the Chief Minister’s Office. The capital will be constructed in between Vijayawada, Tenali covering Thullur, Mangalagiri and Amaravathi.
