Kiran Bedi did not get enough support

A day after the results of Delhi elections, Kiran Bedi's husband Brij Bedi made interesting comments explaining the reasons behind the defeat of his wife from the constituency which is a fort for BJP since ages. Press Trust of India quoted Mr. Bedi's statements saying, “She [Kiran Bedi] lost with 2,000 votes from Krishna Nagar which is strong hold of BJP. This means the BJP cadre did not work and they failed to deliver.”

Kiran Bedi was inducted in BJP nearly three weeks before the Delhi Elections and she was also made the chief ministerial candidate. Ms Bedi contested and lost the elections from Krishna Nagar to AAP's SK Bagga with a slender margin of 2,200 votes. However, Brij Bedi opines that the Delhi youth were in favour of AAP and made their mind to give Kejriwal and his party a thumbing victory.

Accepting the defeat, Kiran Bedi said, it is not she who lost the election, in fact it is BJP and it should introspect the defeat.
