After Azad, it's Rahul's turn

In the wake of MIM withdrawing its support to the governments at the centre and the state, leaders at the national level are reportedly shifting their on pleasing MIM failing which the party might be facing a tough time from Muslim communities especially ahead of elections in Gujarat. Notably, general secretary of AICC, Rahul Gandhi reportedly telephoned MIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi and asked him to reconsider his decision. But it looks like Asaduddin already made up the mind and the question of withdrawing the resignation might not arise, said observers.

It may be noted that Asaduddin Owaisi already said Jagan was his new friend. Since Jaganmohan Reddy is a rival of Congress party, Congress is worried that MIM might join hands with YSR Congress party in 2014 election. In case something like that happens, it will be a cakewalk for YSRC to sweep assembly elections and it might even grow as a national party in future. One has to wait and watch as to how Congress would please MIM.
