Dharani Portal Handed Over To A Foreign Firm:- The Telangana government announced Dharani portal which has a record of all the lands and this portal was introduced to create transparency. But the portal placed several challenges before the government of Telangana as it was introduced before the complete testing was completed. A Philippines-based firm took over Dharani portal and this triggered fear across all the corners of the state. IL & FS Group which was running the Dharani portal has sold its stake of TerraCIS Technologies to Falcon SG Holding based in the Philippines. The stake was sold for Falcon for Rs 1275 crores. TerraCIS also manages the portal of land registration systems in Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and Bihar.

Falcon appointed five new directors Gadhi Sridhar Raju, Karthik Krishnan, Ashish Shukla, Mei Mei Michelle Lee and Mark Lim on the board. Dharani portal was launched on October 29th, 2020 and the background work took place for three years. Somesh Kumar, the Chief Secretary of Telangana said that the portal received 5.14 crore hits and 10 lakh transactions are completed this year. The opposition parties blamed that the Dharani portal has several issues and people are trying it hard to locate their land. 24 lakh acres of land in Telangana has no entries told BJP leader Dharam Guruva Reddy. This created a panic among the people. The newly appointed directors said that the government of Telangana will have access and control for the changes that are made in Dharani portal.
