KCR Urges Modi For Lockdown Extension:- Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) met the press to reveal about the updates of coronavirus in Telangana. KCR during his speech requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to extend the lockdown to get things into control. The three-week lockdown comes to an end by April 14th and KCR urged Modi to extend the lockdown for at least two more weeks. "We can recover from economic crisis but we cannot recover if we lose our lives. Lockdown is the only weapon with us to fight against coronavirus. The lockdown is having a huge impact all over the society" said KCR.

Telangana state witnessed 30 new cases of coronavirus in Telangana and the total number of cases reached 364. The death toll in the state reached 11. KCR said that the officials identified 1089 returnees from the Tablighi Jamaat event and it is traced that 35 people are still in Delhi and are expected to be in quarantine. Telangana government identified 25,937 foreign returnees. A head constable based in Hyderabad is the first one from the police department to be tested positive with coronavirus. He was working in the old Secretariat complex near Telugu Talli flyover. He is now being treated in Gandhi Hospital.
