Gauri Lankesh’s Murder: Karnataka Govt Pointed:- Senior journalist Gauri Lankesh passed away after she has been shot brutally at her residence by unknown assailants. This created huge sensation and protests started across the country condemning her murder. The incident took place on Tuesday and the cops have been left with no clue till date about the murder. State Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy revealed that the government to investigate the matter has formed a special investigation team. He even said that if Gauri Lankesh’s family members insist, they are ready for a CBI enquiry.

He even announced a reward of Rs 10 lakhs if someone manages to help the government in getting a clue. He even asked the cops to get the key information at the earliest. There have been talks that it is the naxals who killed Gauri Lankesh. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah held a meeting with the top cops including inspector general of police (intelligence) BK Singh who has been leading SIT. They have been in huge pressure currently as it turned out to be a national issue. On the other hand BJP accused the Congress government for not providing security for Gauri Lankesh.

Gauri Lankesh has been working close with naxals to ensure their surrender. BJP even revealed that she has been doing this with the support of the Karnataka government who assured no security to the senior journalist. The CCTV footage has been recovered however they could not get any clue. With huge pressure Karnataka government is working in all the available ways to nab the culprits at the earliest and close the case. We have to wait and see who Karnataka government will handle this case and find the key accused.
