Ever since the prestigious Mallanna Sagar project has been announced, the government has been facing huge heat all over as a section of farmers are not ready to donate their lands even after being promised hefty compensation. Telangana Chief KCR pinned huge hopes on the project which has been taken prestigiously while the opposition parties Congress and TDP had their own stories to raise the heat all over.

It was then the Cabinet Minister for Irrigation, T Harish Rao stepped in. He first gave a strong counter attack to the opposition parties and then stepped into the villages. Almost 14 villages will be vanished because of the project out of which some of them have been opposing the governmeent’s decision.

Cancelling his Japan visit which has been pre-planned, Harish Rao has been personally meeting all the farmers who are against Mallanna Sagar project. He met the farmers of Singaram village recently and he has been successful in convincing them revealing about the advantages of the project for the state. It has been known that Harish Rao has been successful in convincing most of the villages and he will soon take a call on the rest.
