Congress leader and former minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy is reportedly about to quit the party.

On Friday night, Anam said that, the Congress party had failed to achieve its goals. Though it had taken up several protests in the last 18 months, it is not able to achieve the target. As the popularity of Congress, among the people is zero, the agitations would be meaningless.

Seeking the special status for Andhra Pradesh, it is known that, Congress leader Raghuveera Reddy had started to meet the people, in the name of ‘Matti Yatra’. Raising this issue, Anam said that, ‘Matti Yatra’ is meaningless and the public would be least concerned about it, as the Congress leaders are involved in it.  
 
Anam brothers, who are considered as the key leaders of Nellore, are staying away from the political works of the party. In the past, when Raghuveera Reddy announced Nellore district Congress Committee, Anam brothers turned against the Congress party, as no one consulted them on the beforehand. They further criticized that, not even ten people would come forward, upon the district committee members call.

Currently, after Matti Yatra proposal, Rama Narayana Reddy directly criticized Raghuveera, saying that it is a foolish decision. This is now raising buzz in the media that, Anam brothers are soon going to quit the Congress party.

On the other side, Anam even criticized Pawan Kalyan, saying that, even he does not have any clarity upon his reason for meeting Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.

This is now raising doubts that, Anam might not join TDP and is looking forward towards YSRCP. But the political analysts say that, Anam brothers might join TDP, but act against Pawan Kalyan.

If that happens, will TDP forgo Pawan Kalyan, who is considered as the key reason for the victory of TDP in 2014 elections, for seniors Anam brothers?
