Stay on Phone tapping case - HC

Regarding the phone tapping issue of Andhra Pradesh officials, High Court orders a stay on the case, until the further notifications are issued.

After Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Stephenson’s phone conversation was out in the media, the AP officials took the issue very seriously. Since then, the AP officials have been making vigorous efforts, to target Telangana government, regarding the Phone tapping case.

Regarding this, they filed a petition in the Vijayawada High Court and the court ordered the Telangana telecom operators to submit the call data.

Denying this, Telangana government said that submitting call data is illegal. Finally, a fresh hearing in the court, regarding the Phone tapping case, is held today. Referring to the issue, High Court put a stay. The stay would continue, until it gives any further notifications, relating to the phone tapping case.

Phone tapping call data through special messenger

On the other side, High Court even ordered the Telecom service providers, to submit the call data through a special messenger. However the details of it are yet to be known.

If this particular phone tapping call data is submitted in the court, the Telangana government really might face, a very tough time to get back from it. It might in fact question the existence of the TRS government in the state.
