OU students warn to boycott Telangana formation day!

The protest on KCR by the Osmania University students continues on the second day too against the proposal of construction of houses for poor on 11 acres of land in the campus.

On the second day, the protest turned much more violent. A large number of students joined the protest on Tuesday. Osmania University Unemployment Students Joint Action Committee (OUUSJAC) took out a mock funeral of the Chief Minister within the campus premises. The protesters raised the slogans and warned the government to take back the proposal, otherwise the situations are going to be worse. They will boycott and foil the celebrations of Telangana Formation Day which is to be held on June 2.

Bundh on May 21!

The university students gave a bundh call on May 21 across all the education institutions in Telangana. OUUSJAC further said that they planned a public meeting on May 29. J Kalyan, the chairman of OUUSJAC said that, Chief Minister has promised jobs and also strive for the improvement of the educational standards in the state, but till date no such implements are made by him.

On the other side, responding to the situation, KCR said that he is not going to compromise on the proposal of construction of houses for the poor. I'm not a coward to take back my proposal just because of the protests of few of the students, there is no such need for the universities to own thousands of acres, if that is utilized for the poor, it might at least benefit them.

Both CM and the OUUSJAC are very strict on their respective decisions, lets see where and how it ends.
