TDP leaders attack Jagan

YS Jagan who will go on a two day hunger strike in protest over the AP government's attitude towards the farmers who are denying to give land for the new capital, is being attacked by TDP leaders. AP Deputy CM Krishnamurthy criticised Jagan and asked him whether to keep capital in Idupulapaya. “Probably if YSR Congress party is voted into power, then AP capital would have been at Idupulapaya. Jagan is unable to digest the fact that Vijayawada and Guntur region is being announced as capital of the state,” said Krishnamurthy.

“When your father YSR was CM, thousands of acres were alloted to your companies and farmers were given very less compensation. But AP government is giving compensation to the farmers at the same time, we will be giving certain special privileges to them,” said P Keshav. TDP Politburo member Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy made satirical comments on Jagan. “It is the misfortune of AP people to have a full-time criminal and part-time leader of the Opposition. There is conspiracy behind Jagan saying, Chandrababu can sit in the CM chair for only two years. If they are planning to bring down Telugu Desam government down, we will make sure the government won't fall,” added Somireddy.

Overall, the new capital issue is creating a storm in a tea cup.
