Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation [APGENCO] has written to the Telangana government seeking a payment to the amount of power consumed by the state so far. From June till date, the power bill stands at Rs 1,430 crores and asked the government to immediately clear the bill. Usually APGENCO sends bill of every month to the government but this time, it has sent a letter seeking the payment.

APGENCO claimed that from June, it has supplied 638 million units of power. This came at a time when Telangana government is in severe power crisis and is also looking to buy power from other states. Though the government is trying its hard to buy power ever it is available, due to poor monsoon, the crisis is amounting each day.
