AP against Governor powers ?

Last night the Union government has sent a letter to the Telangana government stating that as per the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill 2013, Governor should be given the authority over the joint capital, Hyderabad. Earlier in July month, the Union government has sent a similar letter however, Telangana government seriously opposed this move and replied to the Centre that at any cost, it won't entertain any sort of powers to Governor.

With the fresh letter, CM KCR has expressed his anger on the Union government and directed Chief Secretary [CS] to reply to the Centre in the manner as they earlier did. Also KCR instructed CS to send a copy of the same letter to all the states in country to show the real face of NDA led BJP government and KCR is likely to call for all CMs meeting. KCR decisions clearly indicate that he is on his shoes to fight against the Centre.

AP opposing Governor powers ?

Well, Andhra Pradesh government has been demanding for Governor powers since very long time but now things have changed. It is heard that AP government too is opposing special powers to Governor. According to the insiders of government, Governor is in favor of Telangana government and so he is delaying in taking decisions that are making AP uncomfortable. Though TDP ministers have complained to Governor Narasimhan on every controversial decision of Telangana government, his response was not up to the mark which they feel that he is wantedly ignoring. One of the minister said, “Governor is biased and partial towards Telangana government. We will take this to the notice of Centre and don't mind even approaching the  Supreme Court.”
