Malaysian Airlines flight goes missing!

A passenger Malaysia Airlines flight [MH 370] carrying 227 passengers and 12 crew from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing lost contact with air traffic controllers early on Saturday. The Boeing flight  777-200 departed Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 12:21 AM [16:21 GMT] and was expected to land in Beijing at 6:30 AM [22:30 GMT], a 2,300-mile (3,700 kilometer) trip.

The Airlines in a statement estimated that the flight was running short of fuel. “At the time of its disappearance, the plane was carrying about 7.5 hours of fuel. We deeply regret that we have lost all contacts,” said CEO Ahmad Juahari Yahya in a statement.

Subang Air Traffic Control lost contact with Flight MH370 at about 2:40 a.m. local time [1:40 PM ET Friday]. The passengers are of 13 nationalities and has about 160 Chinese nationals. We have deployed special rescue teams to locate the aircraft added, the airlines.
