Heavy Crowds At Kaleswaram

Kaleswaram in Karimnagar District is thronged by devotees on the occasion of Sarasawati River Pushkarams.  The Pushkarams started on 30th May will end tomorrow 11th June.  Today being Sunday and last day of the summer vacations, devotees visited the pilgrim place that is on the banks of River Godavari.  The place where Godavari and Pranahita merges, it is believed that Saraswati is also merging there to make it Triveni Sangam.  

Pilgrims are taking holy dips in the River Godavari and visiting the famous temple of Mukteswara Swamy in Kaleswaram.  As the custom goes, tonsuring, paying respects to the departed souls of the elders by offering Pinda Pradanams at the river.

As Goddess Saraswati is the deity for education and knowledge, the students were brought by the parents to make them take a holy dip and visit the deity for their bright future in education.

Sunday, summer holidays and also the pleasant atmosphere after scorching summer heat favored the pilgrims to pay the visit to the holy place.
