Akkineni Amala Co founder of Blue Cross of Hyderabad has expressed her worry about the behavior of human beings towards other species on Earth.

Blue Cross of Hyderabad was founded in 1992 by Akkineni Nagarjuna and Amala to work for the welfare of the animals.

Amala said on the occasion of the World Environment Day that comparing to other countries animals and birds are more endangered in our country.   She said that human race has become an enemy to all other species from reptiles crawling on earth to birds that fly in the skies.

In fact human beings are enemies unto themselves if they do not protect the environment in which they live!

World Environment Day is being observed since 1972 but the occasion is limited to the news and photographs of the events conducted on the day of 5th June and immediately get erased from the minds of the human beings.

It can become successful only with the whole hearted participation from the human beings and they do not have time to think about it.  Even the news on the day does not interest most of them.  It can be verified easily in the present days as the number of hits speaks about the interest of the readers.
