Former minister Shankar Rao has been arrested by Hyderabad police this evening. He was taken into the custody in connection with alleged irregularities that he indulged in Green Field land. The police, who filed IPC sections 120 (B), 420, 367 and 468 cases. He was shifted to Neredmet police station in the city. The case was reportedly filed by one Chandrashekar at Malkajgiri police station in the city.

Shankar Rao family members have alleged that the police behaved in an improper way as they didn't even let Shankar Rao change his clothes. The visuals shows by various TV channels also show how Shankar Rao was being taken into custody and he was shown adjusting his lungi and his shirt was unbuttoned.
