Kamal's Vishwaroopam banned by Jayalalita

Kamal Haasan's Vishwaroopam will not be released tomorrow as Madras High Court has denied to give stay on the order of Tamil Nadu Government, which has imposed a two week ban on the release of the movie. Vishwaroopam was supposed to be released on January 11 itself with a premier on DTH. But then Tamil Nadu theatre owners  moved a resolution to stop screening the movie over DTH row. Kamal eventually came down and cancelled the DTH premier and movie was slated for a release in theatres on January 25.

Now, a few groups approached Tamil Nadu Government stating that the movie's content would be hurting their sentiments and the government ordered ban on the movie. Upset over this decision, Kamal Haasan approached the court of law and argued as to how a movie can be stopped from its release after getting okay from the censor board. Anyway, court posted the next hearing of this matter to January 28. So, one can't expect Vishwaroopam release before 28th.
