Heavy rush at Tirumala

Heavy rush has been reported at abode of Lord Sri Venkateshwara Swamy, Tirumala. The rush, which begun two days ago on the eve of Vaikunta Ekadasi, is continuing to be the same. Today morning, all 31queue compartments have been full and a big queue line was witnessed outside. Mahalaghu darshanam has been implemented at Tirumala today so that devotees can have glimpse of the deity soon. It was taking around 16 hours for seeking blessings of the deity in sarva dharshanam. For those who purchase Rs. 300 tickets (pratyeka pravesha darshanam), it's taking around 10 hours for having glimpse of the Lord.

It may be noted that two days ago over three lakh people roughly arrived at Tirumala to enter sanctum sanctorum through Vaikunta Dwaram. However, only 55 thousand devotees reportedly got that chance and those who were couldn't take darshan of the deity on Vaikunta Ekadasi are now reportedly seeking his blessings. TTD, on the other hand, came under heavy criticism for allegedly not arranging adequate facilities to devotees.
