T media stopped from reaching PM

In the wake of prime minister Manmohan Singh's arrival in Hyderabad, the media channels supporting Telangana movement were denied entry to the international summit in order to avoid untoward incidents. Even TJAC chairman Prof Kodandaram and other TRS leaders were taken into preventive custody since they wanted to meet prime minsiter and question him over Telagnana turmoil. The sources even said that over 1000 persons, who were suspected to obstruct prime minister Manmohan's speech, were taken into the custody. This is presumably the first time wherein certain section of media was not allowed, said analysts. In order not to draw criticism, the officials, reportedly clarified that only renowned journalists and big wigs in the fourth estate were given entry passes since it was an international meeting. Hope media doesn't take on prime minister further over the denial of entry passes.

It may be noted that Telangana activists earlier said they would obstruct prime minister from taking part in the international meeting. In view of those statements, for the first time in the history, prime minister didn't take road way. From Begumpet airport, where he alighted, he took a chopper to reach the venue of international summit.
