Remand extended for Raavi Suryaprakash Babu

The realtor Raavi Suryaprakash Babu arrested in the cash-for-bail-scam had been produced before the court in Hyderabad, today in the morning hours. The police had earlier filed for an extension of his remand and have been granted the extension. As per the decision Raavi Suryaprakash Babu's remand has been extended August 09.

It may be noted that as per confessions of suspended judge K Lakshmi Narasimha Rao’s to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB),  Raavi Surya Prakash Babu made an offer of Rs 10 Cr to get the former Karnataka Minister Gali Janardhan Reddy out on bail. Another witness K Lakshmaiah Chowdary recorded his statement under Section 164 of CPC to the magistrate. He said that he along with his friend Raavi Suryaprakash Babu, who has been arrested by the ACB, had met former Karnataka minister B Sreeramulu at Bellary on April 20, 2012. “Sreeramulu requested us to help Gali Janardhana Reddy in securing bail. It was Sreeramulu who gave Kampli MLA T H Suresh Babu’s phone number to Suryaprakash.”

As per the case Raavi Suryaprakash Babu is alleged to have played a vital role in securing the bail for the incarcerated former minister in the illegal mining case. (With inputs from internet-AW AarKay)
