Vayalar Ravi in state

Congress observer and Union Minister Vayalar Ravi has reached Hyderabad as the poll observer. The deadline for campaigning is fast approaching Congress high command has deputed Mr Ravi probably to assess the poling process and assess the poling prospects in the state as 18 seats to the assembly are going to poll on June 18 along with a lone MP seat. On touching down at the Shamshabad airport Mr Ravi spoke to media and said that the high command was confident about gaining the 18 seats with majority and the MP seat too. To a question  on the CBI arrest of Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, the leader responded diplomatically and said as the investigating agency is on its mission, he has nothing to say about the issue.

Straight from the airport where leaders like Govardhan Reddy and others came to meet him, the leader drove down to the Gandhi Bhavan. There he met the PCC Chief Botsa Sathyanarayana.  The two leaders were engrossed in a long meeting say sources. The details of the meeting are yet to surface.

However Congress wanted to handle the situation carefully with the recent controversies that surrounded the speech of Ghulam Nabi Azad during his campaign in Tirupati. At the campaign the state incharge and AICC General Secretary had slipped `had Mr Jagan been patient then he would have been the next CM'. However the leader later blamed the media for misinterpreting his speech. (with inputs from internet- Aarkay)
