Vijayamma, the widow of Y S Rajashekara Reddy, expressed her suspicions of conspiracy by Congress party behind the death of her husband. She went on to question whether Jagan was arrested only because he didn’t ‘satisfy’ a woman (Sonia Gandhi). Further, she questioned whether this was the gift given to them for contributing so much to Congress party. Vijayamma along with Sharmila, Bharati and other family members sat in front of Dilkusha Guest House for a couple of hours demanding that her son be set free. Meanwhile, national media continued to take couple of bytes from Bharati and Sharmila behind the arrest. Speaking to one of the national channels, Sharmila said she would write on the entire arrest episode to the prime minister of India and the Chief Justice.

Moments after Vijayamma making controversial statements holding Congress responsible for Jagan’s arrest and her suspicions behind the death of her husband, AICC spokesperson Manish Tiwari condemned the allegations leveled against by Vijayamma. He has stressed that Congress had no role to play in the investigation carried out by the CBI.  He, however, denied to comment on the issue stating that Congress would not comment on the matters that were sub-judice.

Even after couple of hours, Vijayamma and others, who sat in front of Dilkusha Guest House were not ready to make a move. This made the police lift them all and shift them to their residence (Lotus Pond). Vijayamma, Sharmila and Bharati said they would continue their protest and sat outside their residence. Their agitation is still on.

Jagan to be produced before Court:

Jaganmohan Reddy would be produced before the CBI Court today. The court would hear the arguments of CBI’s counsel and the counsel of Jaganmohan Reddy, Ram Jetmalani. The sources said that Jetmalani, along with a team of Supreme Court advocates, arrived in Hyderabad on Monday morning. If Jagan is remanded to judicial custody, the CBI is likely to appeal to Court that it wants to take Jagan into custody for a couple of days.
