Karimnagar man suffers from memory loss, being treated in Dubai

The Karimnagar district officials are on the run to find out the family details of one Nerella Lacchaiah alias Laxman who has been undergoing treatment in Dubai for amnesia after sustaining a head injury in an accident.

43-year old Laxman is an unskilled worker and has been working in Dubai since 1990. He sustained serious head injuries in an accident last November and underwent a surgery at Rashid Hospitals in Dubai for memory loss.

Laxman reportedly told the doctors he is from Karimnagar district in AP but he couldn’t recollect the exact place where he belonged to. The hospital authorities had informed about him to the state Government’s NRI department which in turn asked the Karimnagar District Collector to find his family details.

Revenue authorities got the information he might have hailed from Mankammathota in the district and are trying to find out the family. UAE-based ‘Gulf News’ first broke the news about Laxman. (J)
