Comedian Kondavalasa passed away

Kondavalasa Laxman Rao (69), a popular Telugu comedian, passed away last night, while he fell ill and getting treated at NIMS, Hyderabad. Before getting into the films, Kondavalasa used to work in Visakhapatnam Trust.

Director Vamsi gave a good break to many artists, in the film industry and Kondavalasa is one of them, who got to the fame.

Kondavalasa was first seen in Vamsi’s ‘Avunu Vaalliddaru Ishtapaddaru’ and got to the fame, with the dialogue, ‘Aithe Ok’.

Since then, he was seen in several popular films like Kabaddi Kabaddi, Ottesi Cheputhunna, Donga Ramudu and Party, Sathyam, Sri Rama Chandrulu, Donga Dongadi, Mr & Mrs Sailaja Krishna Murthy, Radha Gopalam, Andarivaadu, Chukkallo Chandrudu, Andala Ramudu, Athili Sathibabu LKG, Madhumasam, Rakhi, Sainikudu, Blade Babji, Adhurs, Bendu Apparao RMP, Gopi Gopika Godavari, Current, Kathi Kanta Rao, Sudigaadu etc.

Though a few of his movies could not do well at the box office, his comedy was always received well by the audience, even in those flop movies.

Kondavalasa was last seen in Sri Vasavi Kanyaka Parameshwari Charitra, which was released in 2014. After that, due to the entry of the several new comedians, he was put aside. Even though he was seen in a few of the public meetings, along with the stars.

After the recent death of Kallu Chidambaram and Mada Venkateswara Rao, losing Kondavalasa Laxman Rao, is surely a great loss to the Telugu film industry. Hope his soul rest in peace.
