Botsa gets busy in Delhi

PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana spent a busy day in Delhi today meeting the party president Sonia Gandhi and Union Minister and in charge of the AP Congress affairs Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad and discussing the politics of the state.

Botsa first met Azad and discussed the issues of Telangana and axing the 16 congress legislators who defied the whip and voted against the government during the no-confidence motion in the assembly.

Sources said Botsa also discussed the campaign strategy to be adopted during the possible by- elections in case the Speaker disqualifies the congress rebels. In such a case, by- elections will be held in 25 assembly constituencies in the state including eight in Telangana area.

There is speculation that PRP chief Chiranjeevi may be inducted into the Union Cabinet in the next few days and this issue also seemed to have cropped up in the discussions between the two. (JUBS)
