BJP leaders arrested while taking out a procession

The government needs to address famine and drought in the state, immediately was the slogan of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the state for the day. The state unit of the BJP took out a procession from Indira Park to assembly demanding the immediate action on the famine situation in the state.

The rally was intercepted by the police, but when the leaders tried to force their way out, they were arrested. The leaders arrested included the BJP stalwart M. Venkaiah Naidu. The unaddressed issue of famine problems faced by the state was on top of the BJP agenda.  Hence the agitation was planned by the party today in the form of a procession from Indira Park to assembly. But police foiled the bid and arrested the leaders who were trying to force their way.
