CID granted two-day custody of Sunil Reddy

CID granted two day custody of Sunil Reddy A Nampally court on Friday granted the CID two-day custody of T. Sunil Reddy who was picked up last week by the agency in connection with a forgery case. The investigative agency had sought five-day custody in addition to permission to conduct a polygraph test.

However the court granted only two days and instructed them to produce the accused before it at 10.30 am on Monday. An advocate will be present with Reddy from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., during which he will be questioned

It may be noted, T. Sunil Reddy, a consultant with Sri City Special Economic Zone in Chittoor district and a former journalist, was arrested by the Crime Investigation Department (CID) on the charges of criminal conspiracy and forgery on August 28. Reddy allegedly forged the signature of Rajya Sabha MP Khan and wrote, using his letter-head, to the Union Home Ministry, making some accusations against the state DGP.
