JAC to show hell from August 1

trsattackIn an effort to intensify the Telangana agitation, the Telangana political JAC on Tuesday decided to lay siege to all national highways passing through the Telangana region in the first week of August.

JAC chairman Prof. Kodanda ram said they have decided to intensify the movement to put more pressure on the Centre and on the congress leadership to introduce the Telangana Bill in the monsoon session of Parliament beginning August 1.

Because of the siege to the national high ways, the traffic on Zaheerabad- Hyderabad- Kodad-Vijayawada road, on Adilabad- Hyderabad- Mahabubnagar-Kurnool road, on Nizamabad-Jagdalpur road, on Hyderabad- Bhopalpatnam (Chhattisgarh) road and on Rajiv Rahadari (Hyderabad-Karimnagar) would be adversely affected.

The JAC meeting could not however decide on the duration of the siege. Some of the members wanted it to be for 48 hours while some of them suggested it could go for 72 hours. The JAC will decide the duration later.

The JAC chairman said T activists would on July 22 conduct a funeral procession of Telangana leaders who had not yet quit their posts for the sake of Telangana. It might be mentioned that deputy chief minister D Raja Narasimha, ministers M Mukesh Goud and Danam Nagendar, legislators Marri Shashidhar Reddy and T Jayaprakash Reddy have not resigned their posts.

In the next step of agitation on July 25, Telangana activists would remove the name Andhra Pradesh from all sign boards in all the Telangana districts and replace them with the boards containing the word Telangana.

Warning to Seema Andhra leaders

The JAC further warned that the agitators would attack the business interests of the Seema Andhra leaders in the Telangana region in the next step if they did not stop spreading rumours about the Telangana agitation in Delhi.

The JAC also decided to send a delegation on non-politicians to Delhi in the first week of August to meet the national leaders and convince them about the intensity of the agitation.
