Srinivasan questioned but Minister defends him

Srinivasan questioned but Minister defends him Even as police said they have completed the questioning of Satya Sai Central Trust member Mr Srinivasan today in connection with the seizure of the Rs.35 lakh from his staff members and drivers some days ago, Minister Geetha Reddy defended Mr Srinivasan and other trust members saying that they would never bring a bad name to the late spiritual master Satya Sai Baba.

Police told media persons in Puttaparthy that Srinivasan was questioned for six hours and would be interrogated again if necessary. Police had earlier questioned Mr RJ Ratnakar, another trust member and nephew of Sai Baba in connection with the same case.

Meanwhile, defending the trust members, Minister Geetha reddy said in Hyderabad she doesn’t think that the behaviour of trust members would bring bad name to Sai Baba.  Asserting that she always keeps aloof of the trust activities, the minister asked the media to exercise restraint keeping in mind the sanctity of the trust. “The trust activity should go unhindered for the sake of the people and media should not go over board,” she suggested.
