Trust describes Satyajit as its employee

srinivasam-and-trust-memberAmid allegations that the freezer box used for the mortal remains of the spiritual guru Sri Satya Sai Baba was ordered on April 4, 20 days in advance of his death, Satya Sai Central Trust member Mr Srinivasan said today the glass casket-freezer box-was not ordered by the Trust.

“The order was given by a devotee,” he told a media conference in Puttaparthy after a meeting of the Trust. Refusing to answer any supplementary questions on the issue, he said the Trust has no direct connection with the freezer box.

Reacting to reports that the Trust has been resorting to malpractices and misuse of its wealth, Srinivasan said the allegations were false. “It is a false propaganda carried out by some selfish forces,” he said. “The best chartered accountants in the country are looking after the accounts and handling the financial matters.”

The Trust has been conducting its activity as per the guidelines of the Act and there are no violations on any issue, he said, adding that all the members are united and there are no differences among the members. “The Trust will take a decision on who should head it,” Srinivasan said.  The Government has no intention to involve in the Trust affairs, Srinivasan said.

Speaking about reports on Satyajit, he said Baba never wanted to make Satyajit a member of the Trust. “Satyajit is a paid employee of the Trust and Baba has selected Satyajit to serve him as personal care giver but the Baba never wanted to make him a Trust member,” he said and made it clear that there is no intention on part of the Trust to take him as a member.

Srinivasan also denied the allegation that the relatives of the Baba were not admitted into the ICU. Even Ratnakar, Trust member and nephew of Baba who was present in the media conference, also denied the reports. “I have no differences with Satyajit,” he said.
