KVP to replace DS as PCC chief?

KVP to replace DS as PCC chiefFormer chief minister K. Rosaiah has reportedly suggested the name of KVP Ramachandra Rao, the close friend of the late chief minister YSR, as the new PCC president. Reports said that the party high command is seriously considering KVP’s name for replacement of D. Srinivas at the behest of Rosaiah.

Rosaiah, as a seasoned politician, has forcibly put up his argument before the party high command that KVP would be useful to revitalize the state party which is facing a threat from the YSR Congress led by YS Jaganmohan reddy.

Reports said Rosaiah has pointed out that KVP Ramachandra Rao has excellent relations with every group in the party and he can successfully use his clout to put a full stop to the onslaught of Jagan in state politics. “KVP is the only leader who can stop MLAs and Ministers from leaning towards Jagan,” Rosaiah seems to have told the party president Sonia Gandhi when he met her in Delhi on Tuesday.

Rosaiah had met KVP, who is camping in Delhi for the last one week, before and after he had discussed the issue with Sonia.

The appointment of KVP as the new PCC chief will also please the aspirants like Botsa Satyanarayana, Kanna Lakshmi Narayana and Ponnala Lakshmaiah as well as the baiters of chief minister Kirankumar reddy, according to the assessment of Rosaiah.

Congress high command now sees KVP as a tool that shoots many birds at a shot, not just two.
