Assembly today witnessed the distribution of pamphlets in favour of united AP and opposing the formation of Telangana state resulting in the acrimony between the congress MLAs of the Seema Andhra and Telangana.
Spitting fire on the content published in the pamphlets, the Telangana congress MLAs complained to the Deputy Speaker Nadendla Manohar and asked him to take action against those who distributed the pamphlets.
“We will disrupt the proceedings of the house on Wednesday if no action is taken on the MLAs who distributed those pamphlets,” the MLAs of congress party belonging to the Telangana region told journalists later.
Demanding the Seema Andhra MLAs of the congress to tender unconditional apology to the Telangana people for distributing the pamphlets, T congress MLA Mr Bhikshamaiah Goud objected to the description of Telangana people as drunkards. “If the Telangana people are drunkards, are the Seema Andhra people prostitutes?” asked the MLA angrily.
