KCR seeks Antony help in conducting TRS meeting

KCR_14FEB11TRS president K. Chandrasekhara rao today spoke to the Union Defense Minister AK Antony on phone and requested him to ensure that that the local military officials would grant permission to their public meeting proposed to be held at the Parade Grounds at Secunderabad on April 27, the formation day of the TRS.

Shortly after KCR made the call, former TRS MP Mr. Vinod met Antony in Delhi and requested his interference in getting permission for conducting public meeting at the Parade Grounds, reports from Delhi said

KCR is worried that he may not get permission for the proposed public meeting on April 27 which is aimed at showing his mettle to the world. Generally, military authorities would have to give permission to any party or organization if it wants to conduct a public meeting or any event in Parade Grounds at Secunderabad.

KCR fears that the state government may not agree to the public meeting and may even influence the local military officials to ensure the proposed meeting has no permission.

It may be recalled that the police authorities have been refusing permissions to the Telangana parties and groups to conduct meetings due to the fear that they may lead to violence. In this background, KCR has reportedly sought the cooperation of the Union Defense Minister for getting permission.
