HRC asked to hold ‘Jai Bolo Telangana’

Jai Bolo Telangana’ movie, which is releasing on February 4, is facing as yet another problem. Popular hero HRC, ‘Jai Bolo Telangana’, Seema Andhra Lawyers Jagapathi Babu is playing one of the lead roles in the movie made in the backdrop of more than four decade old Telangana agitation.

The joint action committee of Seema Andhra lawyers today filed a petition in the state Human Rights Commission seeking to stop the screening of this movie across AP as it may lead to outbreak of law and order problem.

The JAC in its petition said that ‘Jai Bolo Telangana’ is made on the sensitivities and emotions of people of a region and expressed the fear it may contain scenes and dialogues hurting the sensitivities and emotions of people of another region in the state.

“If the movie contains such scenes, it may lead to outbreak of law and order problem. Who will take responsibility in such a situation” the lawyers asked in their petition. Arguing that the censor board has objected to the release of the movie as it had contained objectionable and provoking scenes and dialogues, the JAC of lawyers of Seema Andhra area asked the Human Rights Commission to issue orders to stop the screening of this movie immediately. However, the commission has not yet given its orders on the petition.
