Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi inviting Tollywood actor Balakrishna for his swearing in ceremony on December 26 has now become a hot debate across the state. This invitation seemed to have even bothered TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu.
Modi apparently invited Balakrishna as the son of legendary NTR and not as a representative of TDP. It is known that TDP earlier supported NDA when it came to power in the Centre. Although TDP has been maintaining distance from NDA, the sources said that this invitation can bring in the lost bonds between BJP and TDP. So, the invitation apparently has even got political dimensions, said observers.
It is known that Balakrishna plunged into active politics. Also, he recently declared that he would contest 2014 assembly elections. So, what the intention of Modi behind inviting Balakrishna has in fact become a topic of the town. Anyway, there has been no information whether or not Balakrishna would attend the swearing in ceremony. Observers even said that leaders such as Vallabhaneni Vamsi were given show cause notices by TDP when he shook hands with YSRC chief Jaganmohan Reddy a couple of months ago. So, any person belonging to a particular political party need to give explanation to the party chief in case he/she meets anyone from political arena who doesn't maintain cordial relationship with that particular party.
Therefore, Balakrishna is most unlikely to attend the swearing in ceremony of Narendra Modi tomorrow. In case he has to, he is apparently expected to seek permission from TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu.
