KCR to hold Cabinet Meeting on December 4th December 01, 2023 17:02
KCR to hold Cabinet Meeting on December 4th:- On December 1, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) announced that the chief minister, K Chandrashekhar Rao, will hold a state cabinet meeting on December 4 at 2 PM. The Telangana CMO's official handle also confirmed this news. This announcement comes after the state's polling on November 30 and the exit survey polls suggesting an advantage for the Congress party. The vote counting will take place on December 3, revealing the fate of over 2000 candidates. According to most exit polls, Congress seems to have the upper hand in forming the new government. However, there is also a possibility of a hung assembly in the state. The State Cabinet will meet under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Sri K. Chandrashekar Rao on 4th December at 2 PM in Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat. — Telangana CMO (@TelanganaCMO) December 1, 2023 The surveys also predict a significant decrease in seats for the incumbent BRS. Nevertheless, BRS leaders have dismissed these predictions and remain confident that they will form the government once again with over 70 seats in the 119-member Assembly, calling the exit poll predictions "nonsense" and "rubbish". The TRS secured victory in 88 constituencies, leaving the BJP with a meager one seat. Meanwhile, the AIMIM claimed victory in seven seats, while the Congress emerged triumphant in 19 seats. Telangana Exit Polls: Congress may dethrone BRS:- In the Telangana Assembly Elections, numerous exit polls suggest that the Congress party may secure more seats than the ruling BRS party. If this holds true, it would mean that the BRS party may not continue governing the state for a third term. The polling for all 119 assembly constituencies occurred on Thursday, and the official results will be announced on December 3. Since 2014, the state has been under the governance of Chief Minister KCR's Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party. The BRS party is seeking a third term in office, highlighting their performance and promises made over the past decade. However, both the BJP and Congress parties are aiming to overthrow the BRS-led government. A total of 3.17 crore voters in the state will determine the fate of 2,290 candidates from various national and regional parties, including 221 women and one transgender candidate. The results for the Telangana polls will be revealed on December 3, alongside the election results of four other states: Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Mizoram. According to the Republic TV-Matrize exit poll, the BRS party is projected to secure 46-56 seats in the Telangana Assembly election. Conversely, the Congress party is expected to win 58-69 seats, while the BJP may secure 4-9 seats. The Polstrat Exit Poll projects that the BRS is expected to secure 48-58 seats, with the Congress predicted to win 49-56 seats and the BJP 5-10 seats. In contrast, the Jan Ki Baat Exit Poll suggests that the Congress may secure 48 to 64 seats in Telangana, positioning them ahead of the ruling BRS and reflecting a desire for change. Maruti to hike their car prices from 2024:- Maruti Suzuki India, the country's leading car manufacturer, has announced plans to raise vehicle prices in January 2024. The decision is attributed to the impact of overall inflation and increased commodity rates, which have put pressure on costs. While the exact extent of the price hike has not been disclosed, Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Officer of Marketing and Sales at Maruti Suzuki India, stated that it would vary across different models and could be substantial in some cases. The company had previously raised prices by 0.8% in April of this year and by a total of 2.4% in the last fiscal year. Srivastava acknowledged that the current circumstances have left them with no choice but to increase prices, though the exact magnitude of the increase is yet to be determined. Due to rising inflation and higher prices for commodities, the company has announced that starting in January 2024, there will be an increase in costs. Despite the company's best efforts to minimize expenses and counteract the impact, there may be a need to pass on some of these increases to the market. The extent of the price adjustments will vary depending on the specific models.
