Is KVJ, a sweet revenge for TDP?

Commercial action thriller Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum (KVJ) directed by Krish with glam doll Nayantara and macho man Rana Daggupati, is in news for various reasons. While the main reason is its rich harvest at the box office, on the other hand the political yellow colouring of the film has raged in many controversies. Political circles in the state are abuzz that the film is funded by the Telugu Desam Party and forms a part of it's armoury to combat against the oppositions in the coming general elections (2014).

KVJ

KVJ revolves around the Surabhi Theatrical group which had dedicated towards the enhancement of the art form irrespective of the financial crisis it had faced. The director handling the subject softly narrates about the highhandedness of the mining mafia in Bellary.

KVJ

The film that revolves on how Reddappa (Milind Gunaji) of Bellary usurps the mines and how the hero flexes his muscle to win over the villain reminds the filmgoers of someone who was recently incarcerated by the CBI in the mining mafia.

While the TDP party denies the whole affair, sources in the party reveal that even if the party did fund, it was not a bad proposition. However officially the cat is yet to be out of the bag. On the other hand, sources in YSR Congress party seem to flutter over the film. Probably they find a similarity in the film of their leader, just a faint posibility. And how do you think the YSRCP would react? May be they are planning a film on the way the TDP functions on a larger canavas. Then will the TDP stay cool to the feud instigated by them?

KVJ

Cinema is a powerful medium that reaches the masses at their cost. What come with a price (ticket money) is always considered a priority 'Gyan.'  It was Celluloid expertise that made many leaders attain the throne, like legends late NTR in our state and late MGR in Tamil Nadu. Public give into the belief that the star's larger than life image, is their actual self.

KVJ

Though films like 'Mandaladeesudu' and 'Naa Pilupe Prabhanjanam' were Congress tools to attack NTR's growing popularity in the eighties, the exercise was a futile as Congress lost miserably in the hands of TDP and never regained power till the late chief minister NT Rama Rao was alive.

Will this film also be of the same genre or will it make a difference? But one issue is positive that this is going to lead to many such films in 2013 before the mammoth elections. No wonderour own Megastar might as well come up with one too.... (Wishesh- AarKay)
