Whether you are a dipsomaniac or just crazy about wine-tasting; there are certain regions of that world that would be your heaven. We bring to you the finest of the wine destinations in the world ending with the best. Remember not to indulge too much, though. Simple mantras for best wine tasting would be to pour wine into glass, then allow it to breathe. Then, take it to your eye level and examine the clarified juice against the light. Lift the glass to your nose, inhale deeply and pamper your olfactory lobes and try to discern the scents of the different ingredients.

 Take a small sip, let the wine linger in your mouth as you taste the constituents, let the wine attack your taste buds and evolve in your mouth. After you swallow you examine the finish. 1. LA RIOJA, SPAIN

You would definitely have seen the letter Rioja printed royally on some of the best wines, and these are prepared in La Rioja of Spain. The destination is widely known among the wineries for its large variety of wines. This was also where the first every bottled wine-based punch, Sangria, was developed by a winemaker.

2. MCLAREN VALE, AUSTRALIA

Adelaide’s McLaren Vale is one of the most scenic wine making places in the world. The region is best suited due to its temperatures for growing the finest of the grapes meant for wine. Hardy and d’Arenberg wineries are located here, and are a must-do when you visit Australia.

3. DOURO, PORTUGAL

Lying on the banks of the Duoro River in Portugal, Douro, also the name of the wine region, is among the oldest in the trade. Several evidences in the region point out to the fact that this place was known for wine making as early as 3rd and 4th century.

4. BORDEAUX, FRANCE

There is no way you couldn't have heard of a Bordeaux wine. These wines are extremely popular and made from the grapes which are grown in a chateau and vineyard in Margaux, Bordeaux, of France. Wine in the region was made as early as 1st century back when Romans planted vines in the region. Bordeaux is today sold all across the world and there are several varieties the region makes and supplies across the globe.

5. BINGEN, GERMANY

Bingen am Rhein is a small town at the concourse of the Rhein and Nahe rivers. Germany undoubtedly has the best wines in the world. Yes, they are good not only with automobiles but also wine. However, doesn’t mean you can do them both at the same time. Bingen also has a wine festival where the connoisseurs of wine fly to the town to lay their hands on the best wines.
