PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana has sought the blessings of Lord Sri Venkateshwara Swamy in Tirumala on Friday. He had a glimpse of the deity in the morning hours during VIP darshan. Answering to a question by a reporter, Botsa Satyanarayana has said that there was nothing wrong in ministers wishing that Chiranjeevi should become the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh.
The political observers said that Botsa's statements clearly indicated that not just public at large but almost all Congress MLA wants Chiranjeevi to become the chief minister of the state. In fact, the observers have also said that not just the ruling party members but many leading opposition parties in the state were reportedly missing Chiranjeevi.
Further, they said other political parties were apparently ready to make Chiranjeevi the chief minister candidate if he joins any other opposition party although Chiranjeevi will reportedly never do, added observers. It is known that Chiru apparently believed that Congress would give due importance to the backward communities in the state and provide justice to them.
And to make this happen in the Kamma and Reddy dominated state, a person from kapu community should be made the chief minister of the state, said political observers. Apart from this, even legislators in Congress wants Chiranjeevi to be the CM as there's no good Congress leader in AP apart from Chiranjeevi, they added. It may be noted that after YSR, it's Chiranjeevi alone in Congress party who has got so much of charisma and in fact more than that.
The observers have also opined that even opposition party leaders would feel contended and get pacified if Chiranjeevi is made the chief minister. Reason being simple that in Andhra Pradesh, there's probably no one who hates Chiranjeevi. From a mass hero to mega star to backward communities' leader, Chiru is a person close to hearts of millions, stressed the observers.
After noticing all this, a senior Congress leader like Botsa Satyanarayana (who is considered as a noble politician and who reportedly knows in and out of politics) admitted that there was nothing wrong in legislators demand (making Chiranjeevi the chief minister). One has to, however, wait and watch whether Congress will immediately declare Chiranjeevi as the chief minister candidate or wait till another couple of months. Whatever it may be, the final word that political observers uniformly said was Congress cannot survive in the state in case Chiranjeevi doesn't adorn the CM throne.
