The YSR Congress Chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is the most perplexed man say sources. With the CBI haunting him over many issues, he is ever out there in the public in his 'Odarpu Yatra'. And on one side the litmus test for him is the 18 by-polls, scheduled in the state shortly. This has been an ongoing turmoil for the young chieftain ever since his father and former Chief Minister Y S Rajashekar Reddy passed away. However he managed to garner some good support from the public, sailing high on the sympathy wave over the sudden demise of his father. YSR as people fondly call the late CM was known for his efficient administration and populist initiatives. He had been the leader of the masses and classes alike. And his son had been given the same regards as a part of loyalty.
However the CBI in its chargesheet no 3 has accused the late leader of being accountable in the disproportionate assets case of Jagan. This was one thing that the young scion never expected. And this strategy also must have had a master mind behind. Of course as the law takes its own course, the outcome could prove hazardous to both Congress and the YSR Congress. As most Ministers in the YSR team still hold key portfolios in the present government too. So if the leader is corrupt, then what about his team? ask sources.
On the same grounds many leaders of the Congress and the oppositions like the TDP and the Left want the whole set of leaders to be exposed and curtly dealt with. In a way the allegations might have ill effects on both the parties feel critics. However for the YSR Chief he is surely at cross roads as of now quote some newspapers. The main reason being, Jagan was always quoting YSR’s image to carve a niche for self. But the latest damage to the image might put the young chief in dilemma, whether to use his father’s name or not in further campaign.
On the other hand critics feel that either Jagan uses or not he is sure to be identified with the late YSR. And he is sure to make a reasonable counter for the issue in his favor. However the Congress might be in for more shocks if the entire list is opened feel sources.
