Time editor suspended for plagiarism

Time magazine's editor had fouled by violating the standards of Time for their own columnists. He has violated by deviating from the work being original though factual. The magazine requires that the work is not just their view but also expressed in their own views, Zelenko said.

The World renown magazine, Time, had however put the article off their website after it was confirmed to contain excerpts from other articles posted elsewhere but were unattributed.

Fareed Zakaria had been suspended by the CNN after the media reporters have reported the article from Zakaria had blaring resemblances to the articles in other articles. In his article that was written on gun control which was published on the 20th August issue had the same paras as the article that was written by a Harvard University professor in history, Jill Leproe which was published in The New Yorker in April.

With a different title 'The Case for Gun Control',  in one of the paragraphs he had written "Adam Winkler, a professor of constitutional law at UCLA, documents the actual history in 'Gunfight: The Battle Over the Right to Bear Arms in America'. Guns were regulated in the US from the earliest years of the Republic."

However this was extremely similar to Lepore's article in New Yorker that goes under the title Battleground America which reads "As Adam Winkler, a constitutional-law scholar at UCLA, demonstrates in a remarkably nuanced new book, 'Gunfight: The Battle Over the Right to Bear Arms in America,' firearms have been regulated in the United States from the start."

In response to the accusations Zakaria had apologized to the original author, Lepore, his own editors and readers.
