Holy Amarnath Yatra, which began last month, has successfully concluded on Thursday on the eve of Shravan Purnima (this season's full moon day). It is known that Amarnath cave shrine is at an elevation of 13,500 feet above the sea level. Visiting Amarnath shrine is considered as one of the most celestial act by Hindus. Since there were possible terror threats to this year Amarnath yatra, officials have provided tight security. And as no terror attacks took place, the police offices heaved a sigh of relief.

This year as many as six lakh devotees have visited Holy Amarnath (Lord Shiva) who will be manifested every year in the form of ice-linga in a small cave.  Out of six lakh devotees, the casualties reported were 95.
