Judge's kin fined by traffic cop, forced to work a peon

A complaint was filed against a additional sessions court judge at the Tiz Hazaris Courts by a traffic head constable who had, in the written complaint, said that he was abused and coerced to work as a peon in the traffic court merely because he had fined a relative of the court's Judge who had violated the traffic rule by driving without a helmet.

The head constable Mahee Lal according to the complaint was forbidden from issuing a challan, but  he didn't pay attention and fined the violator. He immediately received a call from his senior officers saying that he had to report at the court where he was abused by the Judge and made to work as a peon for three days.

He had complained of the abuse to the senior officials. They were duly authorized and forwarded to the Delhi High Court's registrar general by the deputy commissioner of police of the traffic headquarters, R K Pandey.

Lal was transferred by the Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Satyendra Garg to the Punjabi Bagh after the incident.
