Japan excoriates Manesar Plant perpetrators

Japan has decried the violence that has occurred at the Maruti Suzuki's plant at Manesar today. A senior company official was killed in the violence at the plant for which Japan had reacted by saying that the Haryana Government should find the culprits and punish then seriously.

The Japan Embassy said that it strongly hoped that the state of Haryana would enforce the law and order effectively to administer the right punishment without much delay in the case of this violence as it would serve to instill fear into the wrong doers and such ghastly incidents wouldn't occur again.

Bemoaning the death of a person and the numerous injuries that were caused by the violence triggered by a group of workers, the Embassy further stated that it condemns violence and vandalism.

They also said that the Manesar plant, which was shut down after this incident, would resume working at the soonest as the normalcy would be restored meanwhile.

The General Manager HR of Maruti Suzuki at the Manesar Plant, Awanish Kumar Dev was set ablaze in flames by a violent mob of workers who were protesting the suspension of a worker. The GM had suspended a worker for allegedly manhandling a supervising official.

Manesar Plant had been churning out over 5.5 lakh cars per year which include Swift, SX4, A-star, and Dzire.
