The CPM leader Prasenjit Bose has quit the party to mark his protest against the party's decision of backing UPA's presidential candidate, Pranab Mukherjee. He wrote an open letter and in that letter he mentioned he protest the decision of polit bureau to support candidature if Pranab Mukherjee. He said this (polit bureau's decision) was a grave error and would disturb the left unity.
