Missile man cowed down by political scud

Inspite of wonderful campaigning by the Iron Lady of Bengal the Former President A P J ABdul Kalaam has resented to compete in the race for the Rashtraparthi Bhavan. The renowned scientist of the nation had been the architect of the national space ambitions and the defence strengthening, failed the political war-heads. Right from the beginning of the issue the former Prez wanted a consensus on the issue which was practically impossible in this democratic system. Fearing failure backing out was a big disappointment for his admirers who desired his come-back at the post for the second time. However former President on Monday announced that he would not contest the Presidential poll against UPA nominee Pranab Mukherjee.

The scientist released a statement in this regards, which said, "though I have never aspired to serve another term or shown interest in contesting the elections", Mamata Banerjee and other political parties "wanted me" to be the candidate. Many, many citizens have also expressed the same wish. It only reflects their love and affection for me and the aspiration of the people. I am really overwhelmed by this support."

"This being their wish, I respect it. I want to thank them for the trust they have in me," he said, adding, "I have considered the totality of this matter and the present political situation, and decided not to contest the Presidential election 2012."

The West Bengal Chief Minister and the TMC Chief Mamta Banerjee was let down by the Scientist. Even the BJP stalwart L K Advani sent his trusted lieutenants Sudheendra Kulkarni twice to convince him but invain. The former Prez's admirers ponder what went wrong in the whole issue.
