Student caught with Sachin debit card at ATM

sachinThe Mumbai police have arrested a 21-year old second year junior college student on Tuesday at an ATM center near Bharatmata Cinema in the city and seized four credit and debit cards of different banks including the debit card of Sachin Tendulkar, the batting maestro.

The cards belonged to the ING Vyasa, ICICI and Kotak Mahindra banks.

Police constables, who were on a routine duty at the HSBC bank ATM centre, became suspicious when Mr Shoyeb Doodhwala, a resident of Mahim, took longer time to withdraw money from the ATM.

They immediately frisked the person and found the debit and credit cards including the debit card of Kotak Mahindra bank that contained the name of Sachin Tendulkar.  They also found a fake driving license with him. The police have begun investigation to find out whether the person was part of a gang making fake credit and debit cards with the help of skimming machines.

Police have booked cheating and forgery cases against him as he had given incoherent answers on how he came in contact with the cards of other persons.
