Shorty, Dawood most wanted men nowLondon-based daily The Guardian said today that, after the killing of the Al-Qaida leader Osama Bin Laden, India’s most wanted criminal Dawood Ibrahim has now elevated his position as the world’s second most wanted man next to the Mexican drug lord Joaquin El Chapo Guzman alias ‘Shorty’.

The paper further said that Dawood Ibrahim might well be hiding in Pakistan like Osama Bin Laden.

The Guardian said that Dawood is the head of a  5000-strong organized crime syndicate known as the D company dealing with all sorts of crime including drug trafficking.

Dawood, now on Interpol list, has connections with Al-Qaida and its off-shoot Lashkar-e-Taiba and is also responsible for the November 2008 attacks.Dawood was also suspected to have masterminded the 1993 Mumbai blasts that killed more than 257 people and injured 714 people.
