Kiran discusses possible action on rebel MLAs with Azad

Chief Minister Kirankumar reddy, who returned only last night from Delhi to Hyderabad, again air dashed to Delhi this morning on urgent summons from the high command.

The high command had also asked the PCC chief Mr Botsa Satyanarayana to come to Delhi immediately. Later, Botsa also arrived in Delhi.

Kiran held consultations with Union Minister and in charge of AP Congress affairs Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad and party president Sonia Ganhi’s political secretary Ahmad Patel on the proceedings to be initiated against the 16 congress MLAs who defied the whip and voted for the no-confidence motion in the assembly.

If the 16 MLAs are disqualified, by elections will be held in 26 assembly constituencies and Azad seemed to have asked the CM about the possibilities of congress victory in case of by elections. Both the leaders discussed the strategy to be adopted in case they are disqualified.

However, reports said that Kirankumar and Azad have also discussed the possibility of allowing the 16 MLAs to come back to the party fold. They also decided to give indications of taking no action if the MLAs returned to the party fold with a feeling of repentance.  A final decision will be taken only after Azad discusses the issue with Botsa Satyanarayana.
